79 F-150 Supercab

Hi truckers, Just found this site, very good. Would appreciate an input on this project. I have a 79 f-150 XLT. It originally had a 360 engine with an auto tranny. I would like to install the engine and tranny out of a 75 Mercury station wagon I have. It's got a 460 with auto tranny. Is this a viable switch? How about motor mounts, drive shaft, Will they need adapting. Thankyou for any input. Dave

The 460 was a factory option on the F150-350 series. You'll need to get the mount brackets and front half of the driveshaft to do the swap. You should be able to find these at the pick your parts in Cal or Edm or kar bashers in Sherwood Park.
