Hey!!! Just completed Lightning install on my 99 Eddie Baur (Mr. Baur Now). Does any body now any dealers that are selling tunes for this combo (5.4,lightning eaton, +4 lower pully, edelbrock headers.) Local dyno shop seems to be reluctant to get back to me about tuning. So far the preditor has been A great scan tool just can't seem to get any help !?!?!?
Thanks for the welcom guys I left out that I also have the flexilite daul fan kit and K&N filter. Also I blew a spark plug just as I started the project and per advive from reading imfo on this forum installed the time sert kit. What A class setup while in total teardown mode did all 8 plugs did I say what A class setup!! I am thinking of taking back the preditor and doing what BigF350 says (SCT). There is A tuner in Mt Clemens MI that does this neg. is it is about a 50mi drive. Thay would probably send me a tune that was close then I would be safe to drive for dyno. just hoping for some feedback on these programers. By the way I will be towing 7 x 16 enclosed trailer with 2 Polaris Sportsman quads and camping gear (perpose for the build). again thanks for the responce. PICS SOON
Check out the Chips and tuners forum - there are some SCT vendors there that can probably answer more specific questions than what I (and other forum regulars) are capable of answering. https://www.ford-trucks.com/forums/f...splay.php?f=46
It's slowly looking like SCT is the way to go I wounder why every one seems to be jumping ship from diablo ? Been a muscle mustangs & fast fords reader for several years because of my NA 88 5.0 mustang. It seemed that diablo was the way to go. O-well still have some time to return it.
Thank for the help guys !!! The truck is awsome. Tuning was handled by www.alternativeauto.com. They used the SCT system and because my Expy. is AWD they had to road tune it (witch I think was better for my goals anyways). This truck pulls my trailer like a scalded bull , and is fast as (well you know). anyways thanks again and the pics are in the gallery under Expedition, Mr.Bauer.
