Yea, makes me not wanna tow or haul any heavy loads, I'd have to rev 2nd to 3000 rpms, just so when I shift into 3rd I'd be doing 1500.
I know the tranny will bolt up, the bolt pattern's the same. Im not sure about the rest. Since the 5 speed is longer than the 4 speed, you'd need to have your drive shaft cut shorter, and maybe drill new holes in the cross member for the tranny mount. Before I put the 4 speed in I had a C6 (I kept it for a rainy day), and the C6 is 3" longer, so I had to find a longer driveshaft. Getting a drive shaft shortend is much cheaper than getting one lengthend, which is good news.
cutting the drive shaft shorter is no problem. because i got to do something the tranny got stuck between third and netrual. the spacers in there came loose and jammed the selector gear. thanks for your help.
