Leafspring help

Hey as of now i have two lift blocks on my truck giving me about 6-7 inches of lift. I need to get rid of them and I would like to get some lift springs. here is my options. These bad boys http://broncograveyard.com/bronco/i-...n__10_leaf.htm OR http://broncograveyard.com/bronco/i-...3-79_f-150.htm Is it worth the extra hundred something bucks to get those Super-flex 10 leaf springs? I dont know but my dad really wants to haul the big trailer with this thing. 8k+ pound loaded trailer. We have the excursion for that but he wants to use my truck... It would be pretty bad with those springs wouldnt it? Thanks

8K+ pounds sounds like way to much to tow with an F150. It is not only springs but most important BRAKES that determines load handling. Check with the towing forum for more information.

Its got a healthy 390, np435/205 1 ton serling and 8 lug chevy brakes on the 44. I will put a bigger booster on it (from an f250) so I think that it should tow this pretty well.

I was considering the cheaper leafs for my Bronco, but I was told from a few people, that I would trust, that the 4 leaf springs with a overload spring are crap.
They can't handle weight, and sag after a short time.
The super flex leafs seem like the best for you if not somthing custom.

Ok cool. WHats the life expectancy on those super-flexes? They arent gonna really start sagging are they? I wouldnt think they would.

Use one off a 1978 or 1979 F350, will need to get the booster and master cylinder as a set. The F350 master cylinder has a wider (1/4") bolt pattern. The set does not include the rear mounting bracket which mounts to the firewall. Then will need to move and bend the brake lines which bolt on the right side of your current master cylinder to the left. Make sure the front brake line on master is set to the front of the new F350 master cylinder and the front brake line will need no modifications (is a direct bolt on). The rear brake line for master cylinder will need an brake line adapter. Use a flaring tool with the correct brake line nut/screw dohickee (not sure of the correct terminology for this part) which will bolt to the rear of master cylinder. The vacuum hose will need to be unbolted at the rear of firewall to reach the new power booster cylinder.
The Super-Flex Leaf Pack, 6in. 10 Leaf spring pack seem to be a very thick leaf pack and should be able to haul quite a load.

I got a set of their super flex 6" lift coil springs, and love them.
I have a heavy duty bumper up front (weights a good 200lbs), a 400 v8, and they don't even flench at the weight I put on them. They are very flexable, and help to smooth out the ride. I almost went with a set of their leaf springs too, but didn't have enough money at the time, I'm currentally running add a leafs and blocks, not real happy with how they stiffen the ride, but I'll suck it up till I have more cash.
