Question 460 changes

did ford change their 460 blocks from 77 to 91. would the trans mission from the 77 fit on the 91? also from switching the fuel injection to a carb would the manifold fit?

hte blocks changed in 79, and you can't put the earlier cranks in the 79 or later blocks and the later blocks have longer cyl walls so work good for stroker motors. Also in 79 the switched to external balance so you can't swap flywheels with the earlier ones. But the physical external dimensions stayed teh same so yes the bellhousing will bolt up as well as the accesories such as PS, and alt.
The intakes between FI, and carbed will not cross the heads are different but you can bolt the carbed heads onto the FI short block or viceversa if you want to do that swap.
