Corner Gas

Some reruns already on Corner Gas, kinda spoils it. I still like to watch CG but prefer a new episode every week especially this early in the season.

CG is just SOOOO prairie small town. Since I've lived in Both Saskatchewan and Manitoba, I'd say there's not a lot different. "Stupid like a Fox." "Approximately...."

It is scary how close to the truth it is some time. I am glad to see that the show turned out so well. They have even gotten of few ideas from stuff around town

We have tried to get our daughter on the show....she is trying to do some acting and has an agent but no luck so far. Corner Gas wrote us back to say they don't have parts for young girls (11), couple weeks later we are watching an episode and there were 2 kids......DOH!

Yeah That would be cool to get your daughter on, even just in the background, maybe start her off to be the next big thing!

That show is small town, praire for sure. Could just as easily be Irvine or Oyen or Barons, Alberta, right down to drinking Pilsner beer at the hotel bar.

The one thing they are missing is a Curling Rink
LOL Great show

They might have a curling rink yet! That would complete the whole small town thing though perfectly!

I think it was last year they had the bonspiel episode, but the didn't use the rink in town. When they are shooting scenes from the town hall that is the rink. If you look in the back ground you can see the curling and hockey trophies.

I grew up with Brent Butt,he was always the comedian and a really good guy. I think that alot of the original idea was from our service station on the corner that used to be the local hang out. Every so often there will be a reference or referal that somebody who knew Brent,or that was from Tisdale would catch. Anyway, its a hilarious show and I hope it's on for a long time to come.

95powerstroke, you are from Tisdale? Don`t forget to fill out your location and the rest of your profile. I hope Corner Gas stays on a long time as it is one of the few TV shows that I watch.
