Exhaust & Chip

Well I pretty much confuse about what exaust to get? I know what chip to get, the DPtuner. But thinking about the exhaust is just hurting my head. First was Magnaflow, then Banks. Now MBRP Duals. I want something with performance, sound and no drone. Anyone have Idea's. Thanks,

performance+sound+ no drone= MBRP 4'' duals with 6'' tips+ Aeroturine resonator. i have the MBRP 4'' single exit and want to get duals with 6''. just have to get rid of my stock exhaust first. eventually you will be seeing my truck with 4'' duals and silverline tips.

my truck has some serious drone, even with a muffler. the Aeroturbine mounted as close to the downpipe as possible will eliminate drone.

I pretty much agree with strokin_it. I have the 4" MBRP with a 5" tip and I don't think that there is that much drone but I don't know when strokin_it experiences this. Remember the bigger the pipe the more low end torque you lose. But if you are going with the tuner, you won't even otice the fractional loss, only the HUGE gain!

Agree with strokin. MBRP with an Aeroturbine. You don't necessarily need the duals, most of it is just for looks. You can't beat the MBRP system for quality at a good price. The Aeroturbine will eliminate that drone. Banks is good, but way over priced. You're paying a lot for a name there. I don't know much about the Magnaflow systems.

I want to do this one time so far i've heard
BTM drones, MBRP 4" drones , Straight pipe drones, all without Aeroturbine.
Does the 5" MBRP require a Aeroturbine?.
No word on the 4" or 5" that was advertised a few days ago.
Why would MBRP sell a complete exhaust system that required you
to add a Aeroturbine to be a decent system?
I'm almost to the point of taking the 40hp program out of my truck and leave it stock.
I like the quite in cab ride and no drone.
After the pre-pump mod and HPX i can hear the road noise from the tires.

Dually02,

We have sold a zillion MBRP systems and the drone issue is pretty much a non issue. What folks hear is the tone of the exhaust system, a drone in a diesel will actually vibrate the floors and such of the truck. The 7.3 makes so much injection noise anyway you couldn't hear it if it was there anyway. Call us we'll be glad to help you with exhaust questions etc, we stock all the MBRP and AFE exhaust systems in aluminized, 409 and 304 stainless.
