I've got a 1970 longbed, that I purchased. It has a rebuilt engine in it of an unknown year. Is there anyway to find out what year engine I have? Also does anybody have any suggestions on a good automatic floor shifter? Thanks

[font color=red size=2]I used to have a B&M Mega-shifter, the truck style one. I loved it. You could have it set up like a normal shifter or make it ratchet. It has park and reverse lockout so there is no way of going from drive to reverse unless you mean to. It costs $150-$200, if my memory serves me correctly...

As far as the engine, look for some numbers on the side of the head or the front of the block. What size of engine is it?
