Spare and dual exhaust

If I got a dual system would I have to remove the spare tire. Thats main reason I dont want a five inch. From the diagram I am guessing possibly. Its a F-250 year 2000. This is the one I am looking at.

That diagram looks like you should be able to retain the spare tire. That hump on the pipe at the bottom of the diagram is just where it routes over the axle. It looks like it flares out from there to clear the tire.
But, I'd call or email them and ask if you have to remove the spare, if you want to know for sure.

You could also make the pipes come out in front of the rear wheels to eliminate interferance with the spare. Also I think they look a lot better in front of the tire.. Just my opinion.

I know in some states a gasser will not go through inspection with the exhaust infront of the rear tires, not sure about a diesel.

What is the reasoning or logic behind that one? I don't see how the exhaust exit point would have anything to do with a safety inspection.

I think its because on shorter trucks or cars, the exhaust would be exiting too close to or under the passenger compartment. Exhaust is bad enough for ya, but at least diesel exhaust smells nice....

4" duals fit easily without removing the spare. The duals will not fit if you have a gooseneck hitch under the bed, but that is the only fitiment difficulty.
