I'm thinking about swapping a 351C for the 360 in my '72 F100. I'm curious about how easy/difficult this swap would be. Tranny is a C6, accessories include power steering, power brakes and AC. Will the accessory brackets, motor/tran mounts and bellhousing/torque converter interchange? Any other problems I'm not thinking of??
The 351 will not mate to the FE C6, different bells. I have a C4 (reported to have 500 miles on rebuild) that I will swap you for your C6 if your 351 has the small block bell pattern. You may have to use brackets for the 351, but the things run off the engine should work.
What part of the country are you in?

3 years ago I bought a '69 F-100 with a 351c/c6 in it. The original motor was a 360. The guy that I bought it from said he had to swap EVERYTHING except the alt. even the p/s pump had to be swapped. He did use the 360 motor mount towers. The FE trannys WILL NOT bolt up to anything but other FE's. The 351c shares bellhousing bolt Patterns with the 289,302 and 351w's.
