got in a wreck
so i'm driving down 635..just got on the highway so i was only going about 55, and this car comes spinning in my direction. they hit me nearly head on, and then they go swerving onto the grass next to the highway. my 1981 f100 pretty much totaled their car, but it did do some damage to mine also.
she was mexican (didnt speak a word of english), had no liscence, no insurance. i'm screwed
the car picture up there is the other car.
i'm proud of my '81 though. nearly head on hit, me going 55, the other car going 50-60. my girlfriend thought it was funny that when she hit me, my truck dindt even begin to stop..jsut kept plowing through while the other car spun away.

it could have been a lot worse, i mean at least your truck didnt explode in flames and burn your house down at 3 in the morning like mine.

Glad to hear that you and your gf didn't get hurt and the damage isn't too bad. Our trucks can take some serious hits--I'm convinced my '84 saved my brother's life, though totaled in the process. My woman loves driving in my '82 because she feels "so safe".

If you have full coverage on your truck just turn in to your insurance company.If not take them to court, just to put a little heat on them to pay you.Same thing happened to my ex-wife the only satifaction we got is the cop inpounded his van and mad him walk home.

How much trouble is she getting into? Taker her to court, Id be furious if I had to pay for that in this situation. 400 bucks is 400 bucks! Thats a new set of tires, or a tool box...or a few trips to the grocery store...or 195 gallons of 87 octane at 2.05 a gallon!

I can't believe the hit an 1980-1986 Ford can take. I hit a deer with my 1985 F-250 going 55 MPH and all it did was bend my bumper a little bit (the deer sustained a lot more damage than my truck
) Judging by your confederate flag you live down south so there should be a lot of rust free trucks down there in junk yard. a part from a junk yard would be cheaper than LMC. Just an idea

if my girlfriend hadn't have been with me, i would have been more tempted to pull out the crow bar from under my seat and show that woman what's up. i dindt want to do anything with my gf though, plus the woman had 3 kids under 10 years old with her.
i dont think there is any frame damage. the entire square of the front part of the truck is slightly bent though, so the hood wont pop without some force.
also, my heater no longer works. i dont konw how this could be related, but it worked like a charm until the wreck.
and when i start it when its warm (not hot but not cold) i hear this weird pop coming from under the truck (could be coming out of exaust). i dont konw what that is

In my opinion she should go to jail and have to compensate you. They have to get tougher on this B.S.. To much of this is going on. Sorry about your truck, it did fair well considering. There's nothing like steel bumpers!!!!!

yeah, and there are way to many illegal mexican immigrants down here in texas. they enter the country illegaly, break our laws, and the government doesn't do anything about it.
