I'm sad for those of you that are missing the warmth and love of wonderful lady. I like Valentines Day. It's a day I devote to my wife as she does for me. I spent 11 years single, and I will take married life over being single any day.
For me, valentine's day is a good thing because there is a lot of advertising for it. See, it's also my wife's birthday and the advertising prevents me from forgetting.
Not to derail this thread, but this really makes me think (always a problem, I know). Here's obviously a group of guys that wouldn't mind meeting up with the right young ladies. I have four young ladies in my office that are cute, seemingly sane, and... single. I think only one's got a steady boyfriend. The big thing I keep hearing from the girls is "where are all the good guys at?" Good being defined as not drunk or stoned all of the time, reasonably normal, gainfully employed, and interested in more than just a one-night thing.
Now I have no intentions of starting a matchmaking service (I am not going there), but it begs the question- are we all not getting out enough, or are there not enough venues anymore to meet girls? Maybe this should be a thread all to it's own- just thinking out loud here.
We dont do Valentines day around here. My wife complained the first year but now she dont. it is hard enough keeping the heat turned on and gas in the cars. i am not going to go out and buy some overpriced flowers ( which always seem to be marked up this time if year ) and or buy some chocalate crap in a hearts shaped box. It is a made up holiday in order to push you to spend money in the middle of winter. They have even started sweethearts day to add to this waste of money. If my wife would to ask me what i got her for valentines day, i would tell her i paid the cable bill so she can watch her soaps for another month.
SAD day indeed, I am married to the love of my life and I will be sad on that day because I will have to part with some hard earned money to buy some dying flowers and dinner out.

well here i am, right HERE posting on ford-truck forums. as far as getting out alot well, i gotta do more car research. maybe i spend too much time with my vehicle and researching about my vehicle. hmmmm. maybe i should get out more yay! thats it. but my car needs me i gotta go!
I just dont do that day. its a get your bum out of bed and get on that mower type of day for me. I REFUSE to spend my money buying overpriced crap for someone, who already knows I love them, I dont have to get that person a bunch of chocolate or flowers to remind them of it, they know every time they see me.
now, if y'all dont mind, I'm gonna go back to my corner and play with my little rubix cube. simple fun.
Hmm, my plans. Do homework, and some work around the house. Finish up some writing, and do some photo editing. Maybe give a girl in my class I sit next to a Hershey's Kiss.
