Here's how my 2000 works:

Driver's door closed, seat belt buckled: no chimes at all.

Driver's door closed, seat belt unbuckled: ding, ding, ding, for about 10 seconds (seat belt chime).

Driver's door open, seat belt unbuckled: ding, ding, ding, ding for about 10 seconds (seat belt chime) followed by dong (single door open chime).

The chimes have nothing to do with wts light.

Thumbs up

Didnt mean to stir up anyone or worry anyone on this subject but i love my mule and i was worried on the different chimes i was getting. Hey clux, I hope you didnt have to go out into the cold to figure it out. My wife drove my mule into work today due to the pending blizzard that is supposed to be dumping a whopping 2-5", thus i couldnt play around with it today. Bread and milk are once again sold out. Do these wheather folks have stock in those companies.

Didn't have to go out in the cold, I already had the chimes figured out, because i use them to tell me when the wts light goes out. This time of year, I usually open the driver's door, turn the key on, and stand on the driver's running board with the door open to scrape frost on the windshield. when the chimes stop, I start it up and go around to the passenger side to scrape more frost. Someday I'm gonna build a garage.........

That is what I discovered today. In the morning when I start up I just get in far enough to get started and the go get a cup of coffee and let it warm up a few minutes, hence the door dings. I hope we didn't seem like "ding dongs" with this, just don't start our mules by the book-door closed and buckled up.
