F350 diesel VS F250 gas....are there any major differences in construction? Is the step up to A F350 a major leaps and bounds in "heavy dutiness" if I can use that expression?
if your talking 97 or older yes there is a pretty big difference between the two. one i prefer diesels but you have posted in a diesel forum so that is to be expected. also the 250 have a IFS dana 50 and the 350 has dana 60 straight axle (much better in my option...wish i had one!!!) also gvw will vary by different spring options but that more individual truck not models. they will run the same tranny (not inchangable though but still both e4od) pretty mcuh most other tihings are the same.
99 and newer there are very few diffference other than gvw. front axles may vary by year and model but all are still straight axles in the front
To clarify things.....my buddy and I were talking and we are comparing his 1993 F250 xted cab 4X4 with a 460 5spd to my 1995 F350 Crewcab 4X4 diesel automatic.
I"m sure there are many differences, just couldn't think of anything...and yes I posted in the diesel section because it's my section....PSD rocks!

Yukonsly
I would think the biggest difference would be MPG of fuel.
I used to have a 460 now I have a 7.3 PSD I get better fuel economy loaded with the PSD than I got empty with the 460 gasser
