I don't know about anyone else but the one thing that pisses me off about my new truck (2006 F250 KR 4x4 CC SB) is that it comes with a 28 gallon gas tank. The gas mileage really does not bother me, but I drive alot and filling up every other day pisses me off. I have a 2000 X with the V-10 and it has a 45 gallon tank, that is the way it should be.
Anyways, I notice that Transferflow finally came out with a larger replacement tank (46 gallon). I am sure I am going to get the tank, just wondering if anyone else had done this swap before.
Looks pretty easy with all the hardware they include in the picture on the site, I hate the tank too on my truck. I would rather pay for fuel 1 day a week and forget about being robbed than relive it every day.
The Ford computer won't read miles-to-empty properly, mine does not. I s/w TransferFlow and they stated, "We cannot get access to the codes from Ford to reprogram the '05-'06 computers".
I love the added time between fill-ups now. My computer was accurate regarding miles-to-empty and was also quite close calculating mileage.
