Either one will get you by. The 5" system is more than you need, but typically provides more sound compared to a single 4" system. I don't know how a dual 4" would compare to a 5" system though.
I agree. The 4" is more than good enough..the 5" is "BLING-BLING" factor on a mildly modified truck like your planning. When your ready, give me a yell and hook you up with some FTE special prices on the MBRP exhaust....my prices for my fellow FTE dudes are unbeatable! Trust me, I tried to beat my prices, and I can't even beat them with stick!
i would get guages first. you will need them before you get your chip anyway. but if you want an exhaust i recomend a 4 inch straight pipe. they sound a lot better than with a muffler and not too loud and i dont think a 5 inch would be much louder
Do u have any clips of what your systems sound like. Im trying to decide between your five inch or the four inch duals. you got great prices. And this may be kinda stupid but how is a turbo a muffler? Cause the factory exhaust has a muffler on it
Also I dont tow much and if I do its just like a little two horse trialer nothing to heavy. By puting an exhaust and intake would that increase the power enough to worry about gauges. The chip will come way down the line. Im not even sure if I am going to put one on. I allready put the intake on and that increased power by a lot. i mean I could feel it. I took it off cause it was causing a lot of surge. Also going to a bigger down pipe will that eliminate a lot of the surge caused by the intake.

The surge is the crappy intake wheel. If your plans don't include big power than you can easily cure the surge by installing a "Wicked Wheel". It's basically the intake wheel for a 94.5-97 PSD. It fits perfect but has a different vane pattern and it bites the air better than the later wheel. Plus it sounds really cool.
thats what i was what I was figuring i was going to have to. I was hoping not. budgets suck. Will surg cause harm? I have heard yes I have heard no and i have heard after a long time.
I want to straight pipe it but in Nevada they require a muffler.
You might look at the Aeroturbine muffler. It's not a system, just the muffler. They sound pretty good, and help eliminate a lot of the drone in the cab that can get rather annoying to some.

Some states actually consider the turbo to be a muffling device. I guess they figure it's something between the engine and the tailpipe. I don't know about the Nevada law. The turbo doesn't seem much like a muffling device to me though, especially if you've ever heard a straight piped PSD on the throttle.

Kwik, not to disagree, but how do you mean bite the air better? I was talking to Jody at DP earlier this week (when I was ordering my chip , and it showed up in about 3 days ) I told him about what my turbo plans are with the 1.15 exhaust and ATS intake. I asked him about the WW and he said that the stock compressor wheel actuallly flows more air than the WW, which would lead me to think that the stock one "bites" the air better. Maybe we're on the same page, just in different languages.
But, the WW still does sound cooler and is the cheapest way to eliminate the damaging surge.
