Air tool swivel

Those of you who have air tool swivels attached, do you use them on each tool or did you just connect one to your hose then use a quick disconnect to attach it to each tool? Just looking for ideas, I don't want to buy one for each tool. Thanks!

Air tool swivel

Check the [link:www.ford-trucks.com/dcforum/DCForumID75/148.html|Air Tool Lubrication] topic for a possible use of a "swivel hose" assy. I use just one swivel and lubricator since they are both expensive. I just put a male connector on each tool. I keep the swivel-hose-lubricator assy plugged back into itself to form a loop for easy hanging on a hook by the compressor. If you have a particular tool that you use all the time to get into tight spots I suppose a dedicated swivel may be warranted.

Thanks for using FTE!

Air tool swivel

I use a dedicated swivel on paint guns, (it gets too long if I have it on the hose) I only use a specific hose for painting - that I keep pretty clean.

On my utility hose I have a swivel on the hose, before the coupling. It leaks, (a little) from being dropped, etc.

So I had to purchase two swivels, but it covers everything.

Harbor Freight has a whip hose with a swivel end that goes on sale for about 2.99 #1824 and a 1/4" swivel connector #7536 also on sale for 2.99. The whip hose is about 2.5 feet long.

Air tool swivel

I had one on my main hose reel, eventually took it off because it became such a PITA trying to swing it around to where I wanted it, and it became another point for air to leak out (albeit slowly).
