Well my HPOP sucks. Everytime I put the pedal to the floor for a long time the SES light comes on. I'm pretty sure its not the overboost code because I have the DI Relief valve and the last time I checked the code with my predator (awhile ago) it was the ICP code which I know means not enough oil to the injectors.
My question is..are there any alternatives to the high priced big oil units such as the Stealth Dual HPOP and the Terminator? From what I've read, all the Stealth and the Terminators are are just two stock HPOP's (your old one and a refurbished |?| one) running in line of eachother. Is there anyway that I could do this myself with two stockers? I know some of you are real crafty on here and I would really like some help. I would really not like to pay thousands of dollars for a dual hpop. Thanks everyone.
I've often wondered if it's even neccessary to change the pump. I've seen a stock pump on the internet with a 20* swash plate (stock is 17*). Makes me wonder if the DT466 or 530 uses it. Might make it an afternoon bolt in deal, without costing a small fortune.
Does anyone else have a weak HPOP problem besides me? Cookie, will the 20* swash plate increase the flow significantly? Is this one of Swamp's pumps that you're talking about or someone elses (link?)

I'd definately like to know more about this. I have plans for big oil on down the road, but if I can get by cheaper with a quick bolt on, I'm all for it. Do you have any more info on this?
I'm also trying to figure that out also whitesdford. I would also like to know the pressures of the high performance dual HPOP's like the Stealth and the Terminator. I know that the powerstroke HPOP is gear driven so would it be possible to add a second pump somewhere else that would be electrically driven and would run in line with the stocker?
you would think someone would make a single pump that could at least keep up with our trucks with minimal programing, i know i can pull my camper up a hill since truck was almost new and kick the p1211 code stock. with a tuner on 40hp towing it comes on instantly but truck runs fine
Yeah I'm surprised they haven't either mtgrzly. What I'm even more surprised about is that the Stealth and the Terminator reuse your stock HPOP along with a new one they provide. If I'm paying $2,000 I think I should at least get two brand new pumps.
It's my understanding that the aftermarket HPOP's are basically just another stock unit that's run inline with what you already have, and there's nothing really special about them. But, I'm just beginning to learn about upgrading the HPOP, so my ears are open.
Yeah but from what I've learned there is a special shaft and stuff for them to run in line with eachother. I'm currently trying to figure out ways to either do that or add another pump seperately thats driven electrically or something. From what I've heard, the Terminator and the Stealth have amazing results.
