76 lift question

I am currently researching a lift for my 76 f 150. I am looking at Superlift for the front end and since I work at an auto parts store, I am able to purchase only the components I want without actually buying a whole kit. For a four inch lift in the front end, they list taller coil springs and some radius arm components. They also recommend a pitman arm with more drop and switching to the inverted t style drag steering linkage of a 78-79 bronco/pickup. Any experiences with this to tell me if it is worth the trouble for the recommended pieces as I know being a parts guy, that they try to sell these extra parts to make a better profit. Are these extra parts worth the $$?

If you switch to the later steering you won't need the pitman arm, track arm drop bracket, or the radius arm drop bracket. Just install a 7 degree offset c-bushing, and since you'll have it all apart, it'll be a good time to install a urethane front end kit. Tightened the frontend of mine up quite a bit.

Thanks for the info, it will definitely help me save some cash, but one more question. Where do I look to find the offset bushing?

76 lift question

The local 4x4 shop here keeps them in stock, I got mine through rough country, came with c-bushings, radius arm bushings, track arm bushings, and sway bar bushings. I think it was around $60.

You can also go to energy suspensions http://www.energysuspension.com/ all they do is urethane.
