I have a 1985 F250 6.9 Diesel. I have the original filter head on the engine and the original water seperator on the firewall. I have started having trouble with the filters and want to replace with a single unit that will mount on the base on top of the engine. I would like it to have a filter, heater, and seperator in the same unit. Does anyone know if someone makes one that does all three and mounts on the stock base? If so can you give me the part number and where to purchase it.
Thanks To All,
Rodney
The 87 and later trucks had everything located in your stock filter location.
You need a header that has the heater inside it, and the bottom piece that screws onto the filter that has the drain and water sensor in it.
Not sure about the cost, I do know the filters went from 7 dollars to 19.95 for the newer ones.
