Truck Bed

I had an off roading mishap and my truck ended up with a HUGE dent in the side where I rolled it into a tree (the tree saved my life). Where can I find a new bed. I have looked in JCwhitney and I can get a new tailgate and I can find online sites where they sell parts to the bed but the whole passenger side is messed up so I need the whole thing. I went to some junkyards around this area and the only place that had the bed that I need wanted an arm and a leg. They wanted $250 for a used tailgate when I can get one brand new from JCwhitney for $100. I have looked on ebay but cant find one (I cant imagine shipping if I found one far away). Anyone got any ideas...

Bone yard is your best bet, I can't begin to imagine what it would cost to ship a bed! I know I haven't seen the truck, but it would seem cheaper to have the dent pulled than to replace the bed.

well there are alot of creases in the bed and in order for me to get off the tree when I was getting pulled out the tree slid along the bed rail. so now instead of having a nice smooth curve going from the side of my bed to the top of the bed rail, i have a sharp edge (along the entire bed). I dont think that this dent could be pulled out with all the creases in it.

I could get as much of the dent out as possible and go bondo happy on the thing, but I would rather not. If worse comes to worse I will though

Maybe you could just get a replacement bedside for the passenger side. Both Auto Krafters and LMC truck sell replacement bedside skins for older Ford pickups. You didn't mention what year your truck is, but I'm pretty sure that the replacement bedsides are available for 96 and older Ford pickups.

I don't know where you are located, but you should be able to get one from a bone yard. If your in the South you could get one without rust. Most yards now are on a locator system, so if they don't have it they can probably find one for you. If its not too far away you could go get it.
