Bug shields and window visors and bed caps

I have a 1994 ranger and would like to get a bug shield and window shields for it. What have you guys (and gals) used and what are your opinions? thanks. Also, where can I find bed caps for this truck? It has the 7 foot bed...

We have a 2000 Ranger, and it has a bug shield and window deflectors on it. I'm not sure what brand they are, they were on the truck when we bought it. I know that JC Whitney offers a wide variety of bug shields and other truck accessories. I would recommend the dark tinted smoke-colored bug shield and window deflectors for the Ranger. They seem to look the best on the later model Rangers.

The PO of my truck had a bug shield (of unknown brand) on it, to protect his windshield from stone chips. I took it off because I didn't like how it looked, and discovered that it had worn the paint off the front edge of the fender and the corners of the hood. I haven't gotten around to repairing those spots yet. A friend has a Ranger with a Lund bug shield on it, and it seems to be a much better fit (no contact with the paint). Based on this experience, I recommend you talk to people who are in the business before you buy one.

well, I found a 'bra' for the hood on ebay- new for $6 and $10 shipping.. half of wht they ask anywhere else so I got it... I am getting the bed caps at www.autopartswarehouse.com// They are $67 and free shipping. They store near me wants $80 + a special ordering fee for the same caps.. Gee, internet shopping makes thing s a heck or a lot easier. Are "in channel" or "tape on" window deflectors better? I dont like the idea of sticking the adhesive on my paint...

I have two 112s: a '69, and a '70. My grandfather bought the '70 new, and the '69 was supposed to be for parts, but it ran, so we fixed it up together. When he died, I inherited the other one. Good machines, good parts availability.
