Just downloded bit torrent and am trying to download 1993-94 truck.iso and 1997 truck.iso with no luck... it seems to continue to try to download but this is what I get in the activity log... Problem connecting to tracker -url open error 10060 operation timed out
I used shareware called PowerISO to extract files from the ISO image. It worked well. I had used Nero, but it was a limited trial and was sort of like using a 10 Ga. shotgun to swat a fly.
For anyone finding this thread these days... fordcds.com was forced by Ford to shut down. We're back to ordering physical copies of the manuals, apparently
Specifically for 1993-94 (one app), it's available via torrent right now (I just checked).
For 1997, I can't find it listed at one torrent site, but I have it. PM me if you need it.
For both, you have to either burn a CD and after installing the app from the CD keep the CD in the drive to use it, or after installing the app you can alternatively mount the .iso file as a drive using a variety of utilities to do that -- I happen to use an antique version of "Virtual CloneDrive".
Before starting the (installed) app, RMB on the .iso file and choose "Mount (Virtual CloneDrive x: )", and it presents the .iso as a CD in that "drive". Point the app to that drive, and you don't have to play with physical CDs.
But, of course, that's probably like copying cassette tapes to CDs to play them: outdated tech. There's probably fifteen better ways to do that, but this is what I've been doing.
(And I'm currently prepping to set up a new box with VMWare Workstation ($225), so I can retire some of my hobby computers and run 'em all on one box for a change. It'll be odd not using the eight-port KVM anymore. And a lot quieter in my server room.)
