cam plug?

cam plug?
well i need some help with the cam plug on the back of the block. i know it goes in backwards right? but do you install the plug from inside the block or from the outside?

From the outside, after it's installed clean real good with lacquar thinner or brake Klean on a damp rag then smear RTV around the joint. We don't want more oil leaks just the valve covers.

Yes it goes in backwards. I use RTV also as Carl mentioned. Also check your oil galley plugs for seepage. The press in's seep like crazy. The threaded ones are better. Every block I've taken out that had the press in galley plugs have shown they leaked.
