Hey guys, I have a 351 C. Recently rebuilt. I just had the carb adjusted and the timing done and she was running like a dream for a couple weeks. Then for some reason one day she started sputtering at low idles and would barely run. I'd have to keep pumping the gas so she wouldn't die. IT's weird because at high RPM's the engine seems to run fine. I thought it was a vaccuum leak so I plugged all the hoses and stuff it could be. But it still hasn't fixed it. So I'm guessing it's my intake manifold leaking or something. Oh well any ideas on this?
LAST EDITED ON 13-Jun-01 AT 09:47 PM (EST)[p]It still could have EGR, unless someone has removed it. EGR dates back to the 70's. It will be the "rusty" looking thing bolted to a carb spacer, usually at the back of the carb, with a vacuum hose going to it.
