I just wanted to say thanks for all of the help you guys have given me and ask for opinions on how to spend my money. I have a custome intake (tymar style), shimed the fpr, and plan on ordering a 3-4 inch downpipe, and running a 4 inch exhaust. I know for a fact that 3 of my injectors have been replaced within the last 60000 miles (reciepts from previous owner), and i just got 3 more from Beans (which was a great deal!). I want to keep spending money on it, but money is tight for a 23 year old that still hasnt gotten a "good Job" with his very costly 4 year degree. I was thinking of getting the tony wildman chip if i can afford it, and then maybe trying the intercooler route. without the stage ones, what do you guys think the max hp and torque would be with this set up? I want to get the stage 1s, but they may be 5-6 months away. I am affraid this truck is turning into the same problem i had with my mustang, and i just wont ever get enough power out of it. If i got a chip with the stock injectors, could that same chip be used for the stage 1s when ever i do get them? Is an intercooler required even if i dont tow very much other then my poor little 15ft center console. You guys should see this f350 long bed on 33s pulling this little boat, even my girlfriend makes fun of me! I want to smoke stock cars, and still occasionally pull a house down, is that gonna cost me a fortune? Thanks
If ya don't already.....Gauges first! Then the T-Wildman chip! You'll love it. Without upgrading injectors you'll be 220-230RWHP after the chip+/- a little as every truck is different. The most that can be expected in a OBS powerstroke is about 65hp. If you get Tony's chip and then upgrade injectors you can simply send it back to him for some changes at little or maybe no cost???
I would like to get a chip for my 2003 7.3. I don't know much about them so if you have any on which one is better that would be great. I am planning for exhaust, intake, and gauges also if any advice. just got the truck and am looking for advice. thanks
look at my sig,
in case you can't figure that out - 95 f250 4x4 reg cab, tymar, banks 1.0 a/r turbo housing, downpipe, big straight pipe, and dp tuner 4pos chip, 5 sp, 4:10
