What is safe operating range for:
Pyro, Transmission, and Boost. I have a six pos. chip and I'm installing the gauges this weekend. I just have no idea what numbers I ahould be looking for. Thanks.

pyro under 1250 preferably below 1150, trans keep it under 200 (get an aux trans cooler if you are towing) and should be able to get boost over 20 wot. I personally don't get above about 18 boost. Hope this helps some.

edit: looks like briansshop beat me to it.
Is your RED line hooked up? in performance tune you should be able to get it to where it defuels, about 25psi-ish.
There's a red line going to the little goldish cannister on the turbo housing, you can see it clearly from the driver's side front looking at the turbo. Just disconnect it and it will plug right onto the plug sticking out of the block where it originates. Really quick and easy, no tools and not very dirty. It's a lunchtime mod.

I've been meaning to do that, I'll give it a try today while I'm installing my new 4" MBRP exhaust!
Awesome,
I can't wait to hear how the install goes, I'm going to be pulling the trigger on an exhaust within a month and want to hear how the MBRP does on the Ex. I have read many good things about the F2/350s but One exhaust shop said he wouldn't sell them anymore.
To keep things OT,
I can't wait to sell the gauges out of my old car so I can get the right ones for the Ex! I have a couple different ideas for placement that will hopefully pan out. Thanks for posting the safe temps, I will have to bookmark this one!

I will try to make a sound recording of the exhaust and post it.
Cookie and Kwik set me straight on this. The red line goes to the actuator for the wastegate. Stock starts to blow off really low like 12-15 somewhere.
So if we just cap the red line on both ends, no blow off of turbo boost. Any side effects?
You just pull the red line at the actuator and plug the end into on of the studs on the boot clamps or there is a place to plug right where the line originates. Not too sure about side effects. I know a lot of guys are doing this, seems like a few guys are starting to back off some of these mods though. Check the 7.3 psd forum, a lot of info there.

I got the 4" installed! Everything went pretty good considering I did it by myself. I cut off the factory exhaust with a reciprocating saw. The exhaust is hard to remove from rubber hangers. I sprayed a bunch of wd-40 and wiggled them off. I got the down pipe in place (takes some twisting and patience) and line it up. I used some of the foam packing material to wedge around the pipe to stabilize it, then put a floor jack under to hold in place while I tightened clamp. It actually worked pretty good. Hanging the rest wasn't too bad. It did get a little tight at the gas tank, so I had to work with that some. I also had to cut off about 8" at the end of the pipe so the 5" SS tip wouldn't stick out too far.
I haven't done a lot of driving with it, but seems the sound is mellow. Standing next to the truck at idle sound pretty similar to the BTM I had on. I'm glad it wasn't too loud, the sound would really carry through the excursion. When the family is in the car, that's not a good thing! Anyway, I really like it! Here's a pic. (pardon the dirt)
