Paint Help Please

Hello
I just prepped my inner fender area including shock towers on my 67 Fairlane. I just sprayed it with that rust converter that will turn rust into black primer. I am wondering if I should prime over this or just paint directly on the rust converter primer.

Thanks any advice appreciated.

No need to. But I would spray it with a eitching primer to seal it up nicly in case of a chip. But either way the paint should stick fine.

I would prime. You always want something between the rust coverter and your paint

I would check on the self etching primer, not sure if it would be compatable over the rust convertor, and don't see the point of using. The etch primers purpose is to etch the surface of metal or eat away a small amount of rust due to the phosphoric acid in it. Self etching primers are typically thin and are not an activated product. I think you would be okay with an epoxy or urethane primer. I am not a real fan of the rust convertors myself.
