New to LLS system and through this forum have just repaired T fitting, replaced O riings 60 cent fix. I am curious as to how often the compressor runs under normal driving conditions. Mine is now turning on every 8 to 10 minutes for about 15 seconds. This is after startup and it reaches its normal height on level highway.

That seems kinda often to me. Mine only runs 1-2 times per hour, or when additional weight is added. You might still have a leak. Have you looked at the union under the hood near the brake booster? Sounds like you replaced the "T" fitting in the rear?
I agree with you 01, I think most people are running arround with leaks and therefore their compresors are overworked and fail. Today i did a complete soap ck and found four leaks two minor ones on the entry to the left rear air spring and on the left front air shock (two or three small bubbles per second), major leak on the front T fitting I repaired with new O rings, the other is on a valve (I think its a ck valve) next to the rear T fitting. I did not attempt to fix this one until I have the new part. Anyway have a major improvement with the T fitting repair. The compressor now runs every 30 min instead of every 8 min. The front union was ok, looks like it is new version.
I have the same problem, compressor runs every 8--10 minutes for about 15 seconds while driving. "Today i did a complete soap ck "
How did you leak check it? Were you on a lift? Could it be done by crawling under?
How did you fill it up with air? Did you shut it off after driving then test? "Anyway have a major improvement with the T fitting repair"
Where could I find the Tee fitting? Thanks in advance for any info to my questions, this has been bothering me for some time. Long time reader FIRST time writer. Pat
Patsexpy: I ran it up in 4L put it in park and E brake crawled under with a spray bottle of soappy water> the front T is under the splash guard inside the right frame rail (passenger side). The back T is just to the left and in front of the rear differencial. These can be repaire if not cracked by changing six small O rings, two to each leg, On one I put 3 O rings on each leg to make the seal.
^For those that might not know, when you shift the transfer case to 4Lo the LLS will inflate and raise the vehicle about an inch. (I'm unsure if this applies to all models, perhaps someone can confirm/refute.)
In other words, it's a sure-fire way to get the compressor to come on.
Also, I'm relatively certain the 'system' maintains air pressure even with the vehicle off. A slow leak will usually manifest itself by the vehicle sitting on the 'bump stops' of not started for several days.
99 Expy EB 4x4 LLS Can anyone tell me what looks like a valve next to the rear T fitting is? part # ? How to disconnect and is it repairable if leaking or does it have to be replaced?
