In November I sent My F250 2004 6.0 to the local dealer with a water leak . It was a head gasket, but now I have no off idel throtle responce. They worked on the problem for 3 weeks replaced the turbo, EGR valve, reprogamed and even took the intake back off. The Ford Rep from Charolotte says the computer showes nothing wrong. That gust makes Me madd. On cold startup if you are on a slight hill and try to take off it wont move with the peddle to the floor for 10 seconds. Any thing I can do?
After you get it to move it is still real sluggish until 12MPH then everything is ok. But don't dare pull out in front of someone. And dont get any better when hot.
From what you have posted I am assuming they installed new head gaskets. Your technician needs to go over the truck again and start basic pin tests to make sure the readings are correct from all sensors to the computer. A visual inspection and pressure check of the fuel, inter-cooler etc. Back to basics is a good start to make sure all perimeters are in order first.
It is the new hevey duty auto. And as far as the testing goes when the Ford diesel rep form Charolotte came to help, he tested with the computer in the truck recording different parmetors while driving. They used about a 1/4 tank of fuel! I don't know if they pin tested or not. I just bought a Superchip programer but I want the truck fixed back like it was before I use it.
Try loading the SCMT into it and see if the SCMT tuning fixes the problem. If it does tell them they couldn't fix it so you did and send them the SCMT bill, lol!
