I broke 100,000 on my 99 Explorer in December but my wife broke 200,000 in her 96 Explorer last summer... We're just keeping our fingers crossed right now...
We're on a good run right now. I bought the 99 Explorer to replace my 81 Bronco. That beast made it to 176,000 before it blew its seals on my birthday...
These vehicles are personal and used with Volunteer Rescue, they carry about 800lbs of equipment most of the time, airlift bags on the back to suppliment the weak OEM springs, HD shocks all corners, 6Ply tires, 1000CCA batteries, 600w a.c. converters, VHF radios, large tranny coolers and.... transmission rebuilds about every 150k. Every thing else is stock.
As I write this I have developed a radiator leak plasic tank to aluminum fins.. I will tear it out and repair it this weekend.
