autolamp timer not working

autolamp timer not working
Hey, gang.
I Have a 99 EB Exploder 4WD 112K miles on it, and just recently, thae autolamp timer quit working. The autolamp itself works fine, but it is in the "off" mode. Wierd, I know, but when I get out of the truck, the lights stay on for the max time. I can switch it off by "tapping" the slide to the "off" position, or if i unplug the wire to the mirror I can On/Off manually by the lamp switch.
Is this just a bad slide on the mirror? Or do I have to replace the whole Mirror assembly?
