Hi guys. I just finished installing boost and pyro gauges on my truck. I live out in the sticks along a steep grade, about 8-10%. I took the truck for a test spin up the grade. I pulled out, and laid into it. The boost shot up, but the pyro didn't show a reading. I drove it for about 7 minutes, then pulled it back into the shop. I don't know where to start looking for the problem. The gauges are isspro EV's, and the pyro is pre-turbo tapped into my manifold. I gave up, due to the fact that it is almost 1AM and I have a college test in the morning. Thankis in advance for the help.
I almost forgot. The needle on the pyro does go up when I turn the engine over, but nothing after that. Thanks!
I don't know about yours, but I have the autometer and the hookup was weird. The two probe wires were clearly marked red, and yellow. Then I had the wires for the light. And one wire that was for a keyed 12 volts. I don't know what that keyed wire does, but okay. If yours is the same, make sure you got that one on a source that stays on with the key, and not just in the start position. or maybe your probe wires are hooked up backwards. Also, I had alot of probe wire I had to loop up, and they said not to cut it. Hopefully you didn't cut yours. So I say just check your connections. Beyond that, I couldn't tell you. Hope that helps.
if the gauges are new and there are 2 wires, try reversing the wires. If there's more than the 2 wires, you have to check the diagram and make sure the relay is wired right.

Call the place that you bought the Isspro's from. They will give you a number to call Isspro directly. There are some diagnostic procedures to go through.
Mine worked fine for a few weeks and then quit. After I talked to Isspro on the phone and did a couple of things that he suggested they sent me a complete new unit. Turned out both the guage and amplifier box were bad.
Thanks for the help guys. I did not cut the extra wire from the thermocoupler to the amplifier box, I just looped them behind the dash. Kwikordead, I believe we have the same gauges. I looked in your gallery before I bought them from dieselmanor and liked the way they matched the stock dash. I will systematically check all of my connections. My illuminations on the gauge does work, so can I eliminate those wires, as they should only light the gauge? Thanks!
I Had Some Problems With A Tranny Temp Gauge Because Of A Connection There. ( Isspros Also ).
The Wires Looked Good At First Sight.... But Then After Pulling On Them A Little.... One Of Them Came Off. ( Loose From Factory )
Reconnected The Wire And All Was Ok After That.
Also Have Heard Of Simply Getting Hold Of A Bad Set Of Gauges.
Isspro Is Very Good About Making It Right.
If Isspro Determines That They Want To Replace Your Pyro Guage... They Will Send You The Whole Set Up ( Gauge.. Amplifer Box ... And Probe )
They Are Calibrated As A Set.
Problem solved. connections from lead wires to amplifier box were taped togeather. That's what I get for a late night job. Thanks to all who responded. Now that my pyro is working, when should I start to back out of the throttle? what is the magic number?
