How far down does YOURS hang?....

Radiator that is.....

I have accurate measurements for side to side for a 1974 F100 with V-8 engine radiator core. I'm trying to finish things up as far as how far down does the lower radiator tank hang below the radiator core support opening....is it something like 4-5"? Would you fellers be so kind as to post some measurements? All your efforts are appreciated - will get some pix of Harrison on my web site within the next 30 days....the Aveneger carb and Edlebrock manifold just came in yesterday; all I have to do is put the engine back in and verify radiator sizes.

It looks like 6.75 from the bottom of the lower rad tank to the underside of the bolt hole. The bolt hole is the one that goes from the support thru the frame. The rad seem to be as low as you would want it because if it were any lower, the tank would probably be damaged by rocks. This is the larger rad that comes 5/8" from the hood when the hood is closed and has the large tanks.

Aha!!...a reply springs forth!! Thank you so much for the response - not really that many F100's left in the Metro Atlanta area to look at / check out. I do appreciate the information; now I'll now exactly how this is suppossed to be set up.

Geek, you need to get up with William, and I think there is a member in Alpharetta too, that's where my son is based out of.

ALPHARETTA?!?!?...wow; that's where I work at Compaq on Windward Parkway. Do you know who works out here? I live in Rome, though...closer to William. I've tried to email William privately but cannot get a response. Possibly something wrong with the email server (??...). I sure am lonely...only F100 out here...everybody stares at my truck - they've never seen an F100 before.....

Just wait till the 470 with Holley Avenger 770 is shoehorned in next Friday....they won't see me then because all I'll be is a blur as their windows rattle on my way by....Thrush Mufflers breaking their eardrums.
