GAS MILEAGE
78 CLUBWAGON with 302 /C6 and 2.75 rear. If I chage to a higher ratio in the rear ;will my mpg increase????????/

you might get better milage from a 3:1 or 3.25:1 rearend, it's just a matter of cruising at your engines most efficient RPM

you might get better milage from a 3:1 or 3.25:1 rearend, it's just a matter of cruising at your engines most efficient RPM
My tach says the engine rpm is almost 3000 at 60 MPH.this is not the original trans .tthe trans ID is PGD EV2 E 5 B

then you probably dont have 2.75's, I run 235/75/R15's and I get 3000RPM exactly at 60mph, what is the total height of your tire?

I have P23575/R15 TRIUMPH tires. they are 28 Incches in diameter
measured in the truck. My speedometer is .2 miles short. Tony
