what trans do I have??

Am looking at a 2003 f250 v10 4x4 fx4. What trans could I have, Its an auto.

Yes...if it is OEM...then it is the 4R100 Auto tranny.

is this the only auto offered in the f250 in this year?? IS it a good trans?

The owner before me said he pulled a 6k hrose trailer with a 5th wheel hitch before me does this sound right?

No. The 5 spd Auto or the 5R100 was also available in 2003...but only on the diesel.

Yes...the 4R100 tranny is a good transmission...but not a GREAT tranny like the 5R100...IMO. The 4R100 suffers from weak shifts...and constant down shifting...which helps speed up the wear on the tranny.
