cold start noise

Question cold start noise
Have a 2000 f-150 w/ 4.2 v6. , 81,000 miles. no previous problems.
Getting squealing noise @ cold start. Sounds like a belt, but intermittent,.
removed belt & started engine, noise does NOT go away untill engine warms up

Suggestions?

Just to let you know, found the noise, camshaft position syncronizer, ( the piece that looks like half a distributor).

changed it out in @ 2 hrs. no more noise. please pass this on.
