Pretty sure that everything from '00 - '03 in the F150 will work, it may even be back into the '97-'99. Expy's from the 00-01 years will work. Someone also told me Exploders of this vintage will work.

Check your owners manual and see if they list the type radio you want. I just bought a AM/FM CD cassette radio that was reported to be out of a 02 Expedition for my 01 and it wouldn't work. My owners manual only listed either CD or cassette radio and not the combination. I took a chance figuring it would work. After all what's one year difference. The radio is square and in the dash at the rear of the radio it tapers down. Once installed the radio would stick out about an inch. You might want to remove your radio and check before committing to buy.

You have to get a radio that is 1999 or newer. In 1999 Ford changed the size and plugs on the back of their radios. I know this because when I bought my 2000 F-150 somone stole the radio. My dad had an extra radio that he pulled out of his 1997 F-250 LD and the plugs were different. Plus, it wouldn't even fit in the hole in the dash. If you look at radios out of other Ford vehicles, check how they are held in the dash, and remember TO CHECK THE PLUGS BEFORE YOU BUY ANOTHER RADIO! You can probally find one on ebay for alot cheaper then the Ford dealership (they wanted $590 for a single CD player- got one on ebay for $81 with RDS). Good luck.

To heck with factory. Factory is very limited. A good alternative would be to upgrade to something like a Pioneer cassette deck with a matching 6/10/12 disc changer. Aftermarket radios provide a better sound with more options.
