LAST EDITED ON 26-Jun-01 AT 02:47 PM (EST)[p]I was given a 351M(don't know what year) that has been upside down without the oil pan for a while. It is locked up. Is there any use in trying to salvage it or should I just sell it for scrap iron? Also do any of the parts interchange with other motors?
1972 RANGER XLT, 351W,FMX tranny, and it still has all of the chrome, I think

distributor will swap to a big block, so will the distributor hold down clip, snag everything u can off the manifold, like the gooseneck for the radiator, that swaps to a 429/460 to, pull out the dipstick tube<never know when u gotta bend one up> then get rid of the boat anchor.
Well Joli I think it is an fmx. The motor and tranny came out of a 73 LTD.. anyway the pan looks like a fmx. May not be though.
What is a good wat to definately id it?
