I have a Flowmaster force II (70 series muffler) cat back on my '95 F250 w/460 and I couldn't be happier with it, not too loud but not stock. It's been on a little over a year now and I was just noticing the other day that it still looks new under there. I have no problem with how long Flowmaster exhaust lasts, I had a Mustang that I put a 50 series cat back on years ago and it lasted for years and thousands of miles.

I understand exactly what your talking about. V-10s do have an interesting sound that takes some getting used to. Even vipers sound odd, not necessarily bad, just different.
