If you look on the spindle you should be able to see there is gap between where the wheel bearings sit. Take the largest hammer you have and hit the crap out of it between where the wheel bearings sit. It helps to use pry bars and some PB Blaster penitration lube to aid in the process.
If its stuck, use a spindle puller. If you can get it off with a small steel hammer (16 oz.) or a brass hammer do that. All big hammers do is f*** stuff up and leave it unusable
i got a cheap shot hammer from lowes and beat the living tar outta it after soaking it for a few hours with wd-40. ('93 ranger) still didnt come off easy. clean it up real good and use the anti-seize when re-assembling, it will make it easier the next time. my dad used a large pipe over the spindle with a long-handled sledge for "assistance" on his ttb dana 50 in the 3/4 ton. it worked for him but i wouldnt have tried it, good way to break something.
I been spraying it with pb blaster for the last few days and going to get back on work on it was soon as it hits at least 35 out side. they might help when hammering it, plan on useing 3pound brass hammer
I used a really big hammer and 2 chisels. I had to keep sharpening the chisels. I ruined the deflector (is it important?) but it finally came off. The Haynes manual says "carefully pry away the spindle".... ROTFLMAO.........
once you have the nuts off reinstall the hub, rotor, wheel/tire then make sure the truck is well supported and then get under the truck and kick out on the tire as hard as you can going around top bottom front back, this and wd40 and pb blaster eventually got mine off, what a pain though, I coated mine with grease to make it esier next time.
