Ok i know there are alot of threads about the superchips but all i want to know is that if the tow perf is better than the 87 octane perf. I have a 04 f 150 5.4
Im running the 87 octane.. If im not goin to pull anything except a boat every once in awhile will the tow perf be better????? any other suggestions would be great thanks.
The 91 towing does make a difference. I did not feel much difference in normal driving when I went from the 87 to tow, but when I changed it back, the truck felt slower. As far as towing, it definitely makes a difference when pulling 5k lbs.
You will need to determine if the performance gain is worth the $.20 per gallon difference; with the trailer, it definitely is for me.
