Thanks for the comment. The solids will look good and are definitely much cheaper than the route I went. As for the rear end, it's a 9" ford out of 60 F100 (bigger housing and mounts) The rear leafs were removed to 3 leafs and the leafs were dearched at a spring shop. I also raised the front hanger on the frame. Post some pics of the new wheels when you can. IMO, I would consider going with a 10" wide solid in the rear and either a 7 or 8 inch wide in the front. Would look hot on your truck. Most of the guys I've seen that run the smoothie solids, go with the original 15" wheel. Good luck.
Brian, I'm running a 4" offset on the rear wheels, they are 10" wide (17X10). The reason it looks that way is because my rear fenders were cut and an additional 1.5" were added. My rear fenders are 1.5" wider than stock fenders.
Whichever you go with will look great so you can't go wrong with either wheel. The style of your truck is important. I prefer the classic look of smoothies with stock 48-56 hubcaps for a relatively stock looking truck and the TT wheels for a more modified truck. I wouldn't want smoothies on a chopped top truck with heavy custom modifications.
You can't go wrong with either of those choices - I'm a smoothie man myself but the TT wheels are some of the best. (Yeah...paint em RED RED RED RED RED RED RED!!!)

Yeah man. When I upgraded to stock 16s, I painted 'em red and never looked back.
I like the look of these wheels. Actually I like the whole truck!! I would like to put those on our truck painted red to match with the original style hubcap. The pic is from http://www.classictrucksweb.com/feat...l_0312_56Ford/
It is always interesting to read the input of viewers who issue their opinions in questions of this sort. I picture a torq-thrust D when someone says "torq-thrust". I have that type of wheel on my truck. Not the chromed tt2.
In the matter of your pictured choices, it's steelies for me. This isn't an emotional response, but rather based on a critical assessment of aesthetics. Too much chrome in one spot, configured in the style of a mid-fifties truck, distracts from the important aspects of the overall design. Thus, I opine.

I too have the Torq-Thrust wheels, like I posted, but not the Torq-Trust D wheels.
I think the only difference is that the TTD wheels are made for disc brakes and are partially polished on the side, where as mine are not.
Personally, I'm not for chrome anything, but again, that's JMO.

Responding as you did & stating you are basing your Opinion on thier Aesthetic Apeal, after "a critical assessment of aesthetics", Is in Fact an Emotional Responce, Because they are Pleasing to your Eye.
Huh? Are we setting aside the discipline of aesthetics as merely pleasing to the eye? Well, that's alright with me! You are entitled to your opinions.

Not @ all, I had a sit down & disscussed this w/ Father & read through his Course Study Books & Notes from his Design Classes, he studied @ the California Institute of Art. Aesthetics & the the Disapline there of, you like or dislike viewing something it is Based on a sense of Pleasing Symmetry.
No matter how you look @ something, Disaplined or Not, it's a Gut Reaction of Feelings to something you are Viewing & that's my Point of View, Based on Cold Hard Facts, Not an Opinion Based on Emotion.
