Anybody use those auto dollies that I see at Northern? I was thinking of getting 4 of them so I can (manually) slide my project truck sideways in the garage.
I've got a set of them under a 67 Mustang GTA. They work good to move the car around as long as the floor is smooth and clean. One guy can push it easily.
I bought two sets of aluminun ones at a swap meet. The ones i have are sold by a company in South Lyon Michigan. I think i paid around $125 each for them. They work great. I have my Corvette on one set so i can move it around. The other set is under a 55 T-Bird that i'am rebuilding.
I see the advertisement for this company in Street Rodder Magazine all the time.
I bought a set from H.F..... on smooth floor they are fine..
on rough concrete they don't do very well...I changed outthe cast wheels to ball bearing hard surface wheels and you can push the truck around with one hand...my garage floor slopes ever so slightly to the door... first time I tried the new wheels I had to chase my truck down..
