Blub, blub, blub...
Well, it's still raining here after the monsoon we got here in West Central FL yesterday. How about 8 to 15 inches in 6 hours?! My rain gage only goes to 7"; according to the weather service, my neighborhood got about 12". Our little retention pond out back rose about 6 feet (all the streets drain into it) coming over the dock by 9". We had it easy, though. Sevral roofs collapsed, including a Bed, Bath, and Beyond. Debris, merchandise, and several patrons actually washed out the front of the store into the parking lot. Nobody hurt, luckily enough. Why do they insist on building FLAT roofs? A foot or to of pitch would prevent all that. I guess we'll have even more flood cars turning up on the local lots. I may put a snorkel on my Ranger!

My sympathies. Up here we have rain coming down sideways with a heckuva wind storm to make things interesting.
