I just got a set of weatherstrip in from Bronco Grave yard tonight. The sent me the wrong set. I can't identify most of the parts but I think that they are for a 80-89 Bronco although my invoice says 73-79 P/U. Anyone have any ideas. I was going to have a new windshield installed Tuesday but I don't have a new gasket. Are they ok to deal with? I have been reading their customer service FAQ and I am wondering if I need to dispute the charge with my CC comapny. Any information would be great.
I have several packages so I will list the parts I that actually have numbers.
vwk211080, dwp211180, wfk21180, grb211080 x2 and dwp211080. I also have 2 very long parts and 2 strange parts. The package of the rear windows seal has a note in it that says installation instruction for the 80-89 (only) Ford Bronco Tailgate window channel.
I looked at the parts on botp (they have a better picture on their site) and the door seals match very closley the 80-89. I just got sent the wrong parts eventhough my packing slip says something else. I just hope that they are easy to deal with. I sure don't want to pay to ship these things back and I think I will stop my CC before I did that.
I just purchased the weather strip kit (1973-1979 Ford Trucks) from Jeff Broncos Grave yard. When I installed the weather strip for the door, the weather strip seal on the outside perimeter of door and not the inside of door like the old ones. I haven't checked the other gasket in kit yet.
I got the wrong set and customer service is sending me out the correct set today and sending a call tag for the others. Maybe you got the wring set too.
