I will be towing about 8500# in a Toy Box on my diesel Excursion. What is the best shock I can get. Need Opinions and brands and models if you got them. Currently looking at Edelbrock IAS or Bilstiens TIA
Bilstiens are the prominent choice on this site. If you did a search, you would see that most of the posts quickly point this out. I love them, best bang for the buck.
I saw that Bilstiens are really popular. The only reason I asked is that my dad who has Edelbrock IAS seems to swear by them. As such, I thought I'd give it a try and see what others know about it. Too much knowledge cannot be bad. Thanx for the answers. Probably will take that ebay acution on shocks by Bilstiens.
All of my previous shocks lost that new feel after while. From what I've read, Bilstiens hold up much longer. So far, about 25k later, they still feel like they are alive and well. Nothing I've tried in the past, have performed so well so long. I drive up a logging road regularly and rock the truck quite a bit. The other shocks were never worked that hard. They feel like they have a long way to go.
