California bound

Well I have taken some time off and the wife wants to go to southern Ca. including Disney, sea world, San Diego zoo, Knots berry farm and everything else.

Just checked ticket prices!!!!!OUCH!!!!!! Last time I was at See World it seems like it was only a couple of bucks to get in.

Anyhow for my question, any ideas on the best way to see everything?

Best deals on lodging?

Any travel agents with good deals? p.s. I like this one the best

No problem getting there I am only about 6 hours drive from Disney.

Just looking for ideas on how to do this "CHEAPLY"

Man, if you go to Sea World - PACK YOUR OWN LUNCH!

Everything is pricey there...

As far as downtown San Diego, be advised that you're looking at a parking garage if you drive there in your own wheels. Last time I was there there was ZERO parking for free, all the lots at the attractions were filled!

There IS a sightseeing bus that looks like a trolley car that runs all around downtown and mission valley. I think it's an all day ticket, and you can get off and on anywhere it stops. Not to be confused with the Tiajuana Trolley...

The actual trolley lines run all the way out to El Cajon now, you could park in La Mesa and ride that I suppose.

Pack a lunch for the Wild Animal Park too, but it really is a pretty good deal overall. It and Sea World have plenty of parking.

Two of the 'Low Buck' attractions I can think of are Mission San Diego de Alcala, and San Luis Rey farther north.

I have no idea what Scripps charges these days...

You could pack up the 4 wheelers and cruise on out to Glamis. Miles of sand dunes (remember the desert scenes from Star Wars?) There's also going to be an airshow, including the Blue Angels, in El Centro- should be coming up some time in Feb. And don't forget about the apple orchards in Julian (Wolf will probably know more about that, though.)
