Question Looking for a new project.

I'm thinking about a new project I want to do. I'm looking to find a 73-79 Ford truck to put a 557(Stroked 460) into. Would I have to get a 3/4 ton truck? Did they make any short or stepside boxes in those years on a 1/2 or 3/4 ton?

Thanks.

You could throw that 460 into a F150 if you wanted, and it would work just as fine in a F250. Yes they did make step side boxes, but I have't seen a whole lot of them.
What is the truck going to be used for?

I have the stepside half ton, and a 429. If you are looking for a stroked 460, I would advise you to get some 35 spline axles just so you can play a little more and not worry
