Second Gear Problems!!!
I am having VERY bad signs with my auto transmission. (i think) Okay.... First, with the gas pedal barley pressed in 1st gear, the engine will go all the way to 5600rpm and then SLAM into second gear. Second, when I am driving at freeway speeds (from 50mph-65mph) and I floor the pedal for the engine to downshift into 2nd gear, it goes into nuetral until i let off the pedal it will go into third. What is the fix for this? Please HELP!

How many miles on the truck and how many miles since your last fluid flush/filter change?
I had a bad valve body on my tranny that was replaced under warranty. Mine would shift a little harder into 2nd but I never had the freeway speed problem you are having. Any grinding?

sorry 65,500 miles are on the truck its a 3.0L 4x4. Had a fluid change about 15,000 miles ago. But I actually think it is trying to downshift into 1st gear on the freeway. Cause I just drove it and it went into 1st at 46mph. Thats not always good. What could cause that? And ther is NO grinding.
